Overnight Vanilla Oats in Under an Hour
Of course I've heard of 'overnight' oats for years. But I had never tried them until we were visiting one of my best friends in Denmark over the Christmas holiday. She made these beauties for us one morning.
But, still, I dragged my feet on actually making them myself. That is until Flahavan's and Taylor & Colledge sponsored #BacktoSchoolTreats*. I was inspired! But, given that Flahavan's sent Irish Rolled Oats Quick Cooking Oatmeal, I needed to do some testing on the timing. I finally got it down and am excited to share this recipe with you. With this recipe, you can enjoy all the creaminess of overnight oats in under an hour!
Ingredients makes 2 servings
- 1 C quick cooking oats (prefer Flahavan's)
- 1/2 t vanilla paste (prefer Taylor & Colledge)
- 1/2 t ground cinnamon
- 1 C milk (I use whole milk, but you can use whatever milk you like)
- 1 t brown sugar
- 1 t chia seeds
- 1 t ground hazelnuts
Procedure
In a mason jar, place vanilla paste and cinnamon. Pour in 1/4 C milk and stir until well-combined.
