Provençal Pork Stew + Clos Cibonne Cuvee Speciale Rouge 2019 #Winophiles

This month, the French Winophiles are looking at the red wines of Provençe. Payal of  Keep the Peas  is hosting. Provençe, a region in southeastern France that borders Italy and the Mediterranean, is renowned for its olive groves, pine forests, and lavender fields. And when you think of wine, you typically think of Prove nçe Rosés...at least that's what comes to my mind first. So, it was nice to get a prompt to look at the red wines of the region. If you are reading this early enough, feel to jump in on our live Twitter chat. We'll be meeting on Saturday, February 20th at 8am Pacific time. Just follow the hashtag #Winophiles and be sure to add that to anything you tweet so we can see it. Here's the group's line-up. These will be live between Friday and Saturday of the event. Provençal Vegetable Tian #WorldVeganDay

Normally, I turn these ingredients - eggplant, zucchini, bell peppers, tomaotes - into ratatouille which, my version at least, is very fast and very loose. Here's one I did with the kids at school: click here . It's a veritable celebration of a garden's bounty...all tossed together in a pot. But for World Vegan Day with Valentina, of The Baking Fairy , at the helm, I wanted to try something a little bit different for her event. Here are the groups' offerings... This is a sponsored post written by me in conjunction with the February #Winophiles event. The book was provided for this post and this page may contain affiliate links. This month, Wendy of A Day in the Life on the Farm is hosting the French Winophiles. She levied a fun, two part challenge to the group. You can read her invitation: here .  She offered us copies of A Year in Provence by Peter Mayle - courtesy of Blue Vase Book Exchange* - to accompany our exploration of Provençal wines and food pairings. Bonus points, she said, for not opening up a Provençal Rosé. Needless to say: this wine-swilling bibliophile was in. Immediately.  Provençal Posts A Book, An Inspired Braise, and A (Surprise!)
