You're Invited to September's #MoviesandMunchies: Letters to Juliet

from amazon.com Welcome to our September 2022 edition of Movies & Munchies, a relatively new group of film-loving foodies.  We all watch the same movie during the month, create a recipe inspired by the movie and post about it on our blogs and/or Instagram.  It is a lot of fun and anyone is welcome to join.  You can find out more on our  Facebook page .  I am excited to be hosting this month and would love for you to join us in watching the rom-com set in Italy called Letters to Juliet . From New York to Verona and throughout Tuscany, there is plenty of food and wine inspiration to be had. Sophie has stumbled upon the Secretaries of Juliet, a group of women empl...

Ribollita + Donatella Cinelli Colombini Rosso di Montalcino 2016 #FoodieReads

I always tuck a book into my bag. Always. So, when I have a spare moment, or I'm waiting for my family to do something, I have something to read.  In this case, I  had My Italian Bulldozer by Alexander McCall Smith* in my bag when we headed to the beach on the afternoon of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day last week. And I was able to read a few chapters of it while they explored the tidepools. Then I finished it throughout the late afternoon and made an Italian stew for dinner. On the Page I inherited this book over the holidays when a friend was getting rid of books on her bookshelf to make room for her 2021 reads. She put this one aside specifically for me and I did love it.  We meet Paul Stuart, a Scottish food and wine writer, whose girlfriend has just let him for her personal trainer. To help him get over his heartbreak, and to finish his book, he takes a trip to Tuscany where hilarity - and romance - ensue. I'll admit: I laughed aloud at more than a few parts, especia...

Super Tuscans, Take-Out Pizza, and a Spicy Summer Salad #ItalianFWT

For the month of July the Italian Food Wine Travel bloggers are looking at Super Tuscans with Jill of L'Occasion at the lead. You can read her invitation here . If you are reading this early enough, feel free to join us for a live Twitter chat on Saturday, June 27th. Follow the hashtag #ItalianFWT and be sure to add that to any tweets you post so that we can see it, too. Because our usual posting date - the first Saturday of the month - would have conflicted with the American Independence Day holiday, we pushed our posting up a week. So, all of these will be live by early morning on Saturday, June 27th. Naming Rights + Super Tuscans |  We get the scoop from our host at L'Occasion. Super Tuscans, Take-Out Pizza, and a Spicy Summer Salad | This post comes to you from the kitchen magician behind Culinary Adventures with Camilla. Super Tuscans: What's It All About? | This question will be answered by the founder of #ItalianFWT, VinoTravels. A Stop at Brancaia an...
