Fastest breakfast ever...and a good thing, too, because I lounged in bed this morning, relishing my kid-free quiet, reading a book, and had to dash out the door to work in a hurry.
Baked apples: Wash, halve, core, and destem the apples. Place a pat of butter in the hollow, add a dash of ground ginger, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and ground cardamom, sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 350 degrees, covered with foil, for 45 minutes.
