Every year, I launch into a mad-about-pumpkin phase. I cook - and eat - so many pumpkin-based dishes that my friends tease me that I'll turn into a pumpkin.
This was our friends' entry into our pumpkin carving contest a couple of years ago: me, after eating everything pumpkin for a month!
I have cooked everything from Pumpkin Crème Brulée to Pumpkin-Potato Gnocchi. What about a Pumpkin Pâté? Or Pumpkin Soft Pretzels?!? And usually it begins, in earnest, toward the end of August. So, here we are at the middle of September and I have yet to roast my first pumpkin.
Not to worry, I have one and I'll be roasting it and mashing it into a puree soon. Just wanted to warn you, my blog will be descending into pumpkin madness, or goodness, this month.
