Preview: Italian Wines for Cold Winter Nights #ItalianFWT

I am hosting the #ItalianFWT bloggers this month as we explore Italian Wines for Cold Winter Nights. You can read my invitation.

We just got back from a ten day trip to Denmark where we spent my younger son's birthday, Christmas, and New Year's with friends there. It was, needless to say, cold! And we drank a lot of Italian reds there, including a 2014 Barolo served with spaghetti and meatballs. Che squisito!

But this isn't about my dinner. Here's what the #ItalianFWT bloggers have in store for you!

This month the French Winophiles group is looking at affordable wines from Burgundy.  Host Cindy of Grape Experiences wrote: "Burgundy, or Bourgogne, is known for its wines of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir... as well as Aligote, Gamay, Sauvignon, César, Pinot Beurot, Sacy, Melon in lesser quantities. Many of the well-known wines are quite expensive, but there are plenty of values to be found."
