This week bloggers with the Sunday Supper Movement have partnered with  Gallo Family Vineyards  celebrate National Grilled Cheese Month. Yes, that is a thing. Who knew? I certainly didn’t. But I now have it set as a recurrence on my calendar. Our mission:  to get adventurous with our grilled cheese sandwiches to discover the ideal combination of taste and texture. And – whether it’s a sweet, savory or spicy creation – to find the perfect wine with which to pair it. Recipe Testing for National Grilled Cheese Month

This afternoon I had the Novak girls, so I decided to pool the culinary creativity and get everyone to help me brainstorm for National Grilled Cheese Month. I provided three kinds of bread, six kinds of cheese, and lots and lots of extras. They went to town. They layered. They grilled. And we all tasted. They jotted down notes and rated their recipes. I suppose I shouldn't have been surprised by their versions of a dish that starts with just bread and cheese. Just look at these lovely creations! So, now I have some great ideas. I won't tip my culinary hat too far. Just know you'll be seeing several grilled cheese recipes here next month. Do you love grilled cheese?  What's your signature recipe?
