Caprese Skewers

I find it hard to believe that I've never blogged these. It's hardly a recipe. But this was requested by my soon-to-be 8th grade graduate - for his beach party - and I obliged by buying the ingredients. He assembled them for tomorrow's potluck.


  • organic cherry tomatoes
  • mozzarella ciliegie
  • organic fresh basil leaves
  • freshly ground salt
  • freshly ground pepper
  • olive oil for drizzling
  • Also needed: long toothpicks or short skewers

Skewer the mozzarella and tomatoes with half a basil leaf wedged between the two balls. Sprinkle them with salt and pepper. Drizzle with olive oil. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

These can be assembled the day before serving.
